Published: 2021-11-18

On November 16, the first Face-to-face with the Dean Symposium was successfully held in conference room 407 of the International Cooperation building. Dean Yu Zhensheng and more than 40 graduate student representatives participated in the event.

During the face-to-face Q & a session, Yu Zhensheng listened carefully to the opinions and suggestions of the students, answered one by one the scientific research plans, thesis publication, graduation requirements, laboratory use and other issues concerned by postgraduates. He said that the college would actively communicate with relevant departments of the university to create a good scientific research environment for the students.

Yu Zhensheng pointed out that as a graduate student of the College of Science, we should not only learn and love scientific fields, but also strengthen the talent training objectives of the college's four principles, that is, firm belief in science, solid foundation of science, systematic science thinking and humanistic quality of science and art integration. At the same time, he also said that in the graduate stage, we should not only improve scientific research ability and academic level, but also improve comprehensive literacy, including communication ability, problem finding and solving ability, etc. Therefore, it is suggested that students should have a systematic plan in the early stage, broaden communication channels, communicate more with tutors, hold more experience sharing among graduate students, and establish personal development goals.

This activity built a communication bridge between students and the Dean, widened the channels for students to participate in the management of the college, and formed a good atmosphere of listening to students' voices and caring for students' growth. The college will continue to adhere to the fundamental task of Building Morality and cultivating people and promote the implementation of relevant work.
