The 12th chemical experiment competition of Shanghai university students was held in Fengxian campus of Shanghai University of applied technology from July 13 to July 15. The competition was sponsored by Shanghai Education Committee, undertaken by Shanghai University of Applied Technology and co organized by Shanghai University of Chemical Experiment Teaching Steering Committee. There are 18 universities participating in the competition, including 15 universities in Shanghai, such as Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, East China University of science and technology, and 3 universities in the Yangtze River Delta, including Nanjing University, Zhejiang University and China University of science and technology. There are 54 students competing in the same competition. In order to ensure the fairness and justice of the competition, the selection rules of previous years are followed in this competition. Our university provides a list of 30 third year students of Applied Chemistry major to the Organizing Committee of the competition, and three students are selected as competitors by systematic random drawing. The students in our school are Cheng Yu, Fu Jingxin and fan Qi, the 2015 applied chemistry majors. On the day of the competition, they respectively selected physical chemistry experiment, organic synthesis experiment and inorganic synthesis and analysis experiment by means of on-site lottery. In the face of strong competitors, according to the comprehensive evaluation and ranking of experimental theory test and on-site experimental operation, fan Qi and Fu Jingxin won the third prize (bronze prize) respectively.
In addition, during the competition, the organizing committee carried out the experiment teaching seminar on the platform of the 12th Shanghai college students' chemistry experiment competition, aiming to exchange and learn from each other the experience of each university in the reform of chemistry experiment teaching and laboratory construction in recent years, to further explore the cultivation of innovative Chemistry Talents in the new era, and to promote the level of Chemistry Experiment Teaching in Colleges and universities in the Yangtze River Delta region Overall improvement. Five front-line teachers from the Department of chemistry and the public experimental center of our university participated in the Shanghai University Chemical Experiment Teaching Seminar. Before the competition, two teaching research papers submitted by Xiong Fei and Li Jing, all of which have been reviewed and formally incorporated into the 12th Shanghai University Chemistry Experiment Teaching Seminar anthology. In the form of conference paper submission, we shared and exchanged the experience and heart of our school's experiment teaching reform in organic chemistry experiment, general chemistry experiment and other courses with peers Yes. In recent years, under the care and support of the school's academic affairs office and the party and government leaders of the school of science, guiding students to participate in the Shanghai college students' chemical experiment competition has become a normal work in the practice teaching link of the Department of chemistry. Every year, the Department has carefully organized pre competition guidance from the experimental theory to the experimental operation. Zhang Shuping, Chang Haizhou, Ji Yajun, Xiong Fei, Gu Yingying, Qu Song and Wang Shige, the instructors of this competition, are the main teachers of basic chemical experiment teaching, and most of them have rich experience in competition guidance. Students' participation in the experiment competition, teachers' contributions and the experiment teaching seminar not only tested the overall level of the experiment teaching in the University of science and engineering, but also strengthened the communication with peers, promoted the daily experiment teaching and experiment teaching reform, and conformed to the goal orientation of the application-oriented undergraduate talents training in our university.
