Teachers and students of the University of science visit the joint training base of Huayi Group

 In order to strengthen the management of practice teaching for postgraduates and further improve the joint training mechanism between University and enterprise, the Department of chemistry of the University of science launched the fourth summer practice activity for postgraduates with the theme of chemistry and Hujiang manufacturing. On the afternoon of July 9, Liu Deqiang, Secretary of the Party committee of the University of science, Meng Zhilei, deputy secretary of the Party committee, and representatives of teachers and students of the Department of chemistry went to Shanghai Huayi Group Technology Research Institute, a joint graduate training base, for exchange and visit. Ma Jianxue, Dean of the Research Institute, and Dr. Lai Chunbo, director of enterprise joint training, received a visit from the school of science.


  Shanghai Huayi Group Technology Research Institute is a research and development institution specialized in technology research and development and transfer of technological achievements in Huayi Group. Since 2015, our university has held a joint postgraduate training base with Shanghai Huayi Group Technology Research Institute, a group of off campus tutors of chemistry students have been hired from famous enterprises such as Huayi Group, and outstanding students have also been selected for joint enterprise training to explore engineering science The reform of the training mode of postgraduates.


  During the symposium, Professor Zhang Shuping, deputy director in charge of postgraduate work of the Department of chemistry, School of science, expressed his gratitude to Shanghai Huayi Technology Research Institute for its support and input to the postgraduate training work of School of science, and believed that the joint training work of enterprises and universities had achieved good results in cultivating outstanding graduate engineers. Liu Deqiang stressed that good personnel training mode is a strong driving force for scientific research forces. Shanghai University of science and technology is now in a period of rapid development opportunities. Under the guidance of the spirit of the Eighth Party Congress of Shanghai University of science and technology, the university will gradually promote the project driven talent training mode. The cooperation between universities and enterprises can reach the most cutting-edge scientific research fields, providing a good implementation platform for the project driven talent training mode.


  In the subsequent exchanges, Ma Jianxue, President of Huayi Group Technology Research Institute, introduced the key research topics and development direction of the Institute, and pointed out that it is the social responsibility of the enterprise to find, train and deliver high-quality talents for social development through the talent flow mechanism. In the future, not only Huayi and the Department of chemistry will jointly cultivate graduate students, but Huayi's engineers and the tutors of the Department of chemistry can also apply for joint projects to explore a better mode of cooperation and talent cultivation driven by tutor research and enterprise needs. The two sides exchanged views on future cooperation and hoped to establish long-term and high-quality cooperation to jointly promote the quality of talent training and the development of vocational education. At last, the teachers and students of the college visited the analysis and test center, synthesis and preparation laboratory and catalysis Laboratory of Huayi Research Institute.


  In recent years, Shanghai Huayi Group Technology Research Institute, as a joint training base for Postgraduates of Science College, has cultivated several Postgraduates of green major delivered by science college with remarkable effect. In the future, the two sides will continue to cooperate in the training mode of excellent engineering postgraduates and practical education of chemical engineers, so as to explore the mode of chemistry and Hujiang manufacturing for the Shanghai made in Shanghai brand plan.
